The updated 7000 series trains of the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation debuted in 1977 to facilitate the one-man operation of the Arakawa Line. Originally introduced in 1954, the 7000 series was mounted with newly constructed car bodies for this purpose. Starting in 1986, additional updates were made including the installation of air conditioning, changes to the body paint, and conversion of the current collector into a pantograph. In 2002, further renovations were made, notably with the introduction of LED destination indicators, altering the trains appearance. The series retired from active service in 2017, although some units continue in operation as part of the extensively refurbished 7700 series, while others have been transferred and are operating successfully with other companies.

This product faithfully recreates the post-air conditioning modified 7000 series, featuring a one-man operation display window at the front and curtain-style destination signs.
