The F4U-1D Corsair was the first official carrier-capable version, featuring a raised pilot seat position, bubble canopy, and broader propeller blades. With six 12.7mm machine guns, two additional pylons on the inner wings, and the ability to carry eight rockets on the outer wings, the F4U-1D served as a formidable fighter-bomber in attacks on the Japanese home islands.

About the Moto-Tug

The Moto-Tug was a small tractor that increased the efficiency of flight deck operations. Powered by a 45hp engine, this little workhorse was capable of pulling approximately 1.8 tons.
