The Slava-class missile cruisers, including the Moskva (formerly known as Slava), were completed one after another from 1982 and deployed to each fleet. The third ship, Varyag, was used as the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, and the first ship, Moskva, was used as the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, but the Moskva sank during operations in the Black Sea in April 2022.
