Product Features
– Inspired by the appearance from October of Showa Year 19 (Operation Sho-Go).
– Reproduces the final design with an extended flight deck at the bow and a 13-gou radar mounted on the mast.
Hull Details
– The hull is crafted with parts split into left and right sections.
– The hull and bottom of the ship are segmented at the waterline, with the bottom forming a single piece.
– Intricate engraving represents the outboard electrical lines.
– Features like the passageways, supports at the rear of the hangar (upper and top decks), and the capstan and auxiliary anchor at the stern are rendered as separate parts.
– Includes three-dimensional engraving on details such as the sponson reinforcement ribs and deck.
Flight Deck
– Unlike the standard version, the complex camouflage painting is pre-painted.
– The flight deck is split into the front and rear extension parts and is connected at an inconspicuous expansion joint.
– Elevators are adjustable to raised or lowered positions, and the windbreak is a separate part for a realistic appearance.
– Engraving includes expansion joints, wooden decks, and split patterns for detailed expression.
Fittings
– Most side sponsons are separate parts for greater sculptural fidelity.
– The funnel has a top and bottom two-piece structure, and the exhaust grid is a separate part for added depth.
– The auxiliary funnel, in a “raised” state, includes the base as an integral part.
– Radio antennas are separate parts, allowing for selectable raised or lowered positions.
