Walthers HO Wood Coaling Tower Plastic Kit – WAL933-2922 Based on a typical two-track design, the Walthers Cornerstone Wood Coaling Tower will be a focal point in any engine terminal. Towers like this were built in yards at servicing facilities as well as along the mainlines and branchlines to refuel engines on the road. This easy-to-build plastic model features a realistic coal bunker plus detailed chutes and mechanisms. A hopper unloading shed sits along one side for receiving coal. Like the prototype, it can serve two tracks at once, making it an ideal choice for maximizing service in minimum space. Servicing track centers are 6.4cm Hoist track is 8.9 cm from centerline of track under the tower. This item is intended for modelling use and is not a toy.
